Auntie Ool, Cursewretch sits at the center of a -1/-1 counter engine that converts every counter placed on any creature into card draw for you or life loss for opponents, rewarding a deck built around spreading counters through wither damage, mass counter effects, and proliferate. Supporting pieces like Yawgmoth, Thran Physician and Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons amplify the engine by generating tokens, drawing cards, and enabling repeated counter placement at minimal cost. The deck wins by grinding opponents to zero through accumulated life loss triggers, overwhelming the board with creature tokens spawned from counter placements, and using Living Plane alongside mass -1/-1 counter effects to wipe all lands as creatures while leaving opponents helpless.
