The Mycotyrant Commander Deck
The Mycotyrant leads a token swarm strategy centered on descending — getting permanent cards into the graveyard — to flood the board with Fungus tokens each end step, while a suite of Thallid creatures steadily generate Saprolings through spore counter accumulation. The commander grows massive as the Fungus and Saproling population scales, threatening lethal trample damage, and token-doubling effects like Primal Vigor and Second Harvest can explode the board state in a single turn. A secondary poison counter subtheme using toxic creatures and proliferate provides an alternate path to victory, while sacrifice outlets and death triggers from cards like Slimefoot, the Stowaway and Moldervine Reclamation keep resources flowing as creatures cycle in and out of the graveyard.
