Token doublers and populate effects flood the board, and every creature entering feeds lifegain through Trostani and a few soul-warden effects. That lifegain then turns into more bodies and counters through end-step angel, horse and bird makers and anthem-style counter engines, so the token and life loops build on each other. How it wins: It buries opponents under a huge board of tokens pumped by counters and anthems, then swings with a mass-pump finisher, or wins outright by untapping fifteen creatures with Halo Fountain. Key roles: - Token doubling: Replacement effects double every token made, so each populate, landfall trigger or end-step token comes in twice or more, and stacking them multiplies the board quickly (Doubling Season, Parallel Lives, Mondrak, Glory Dominus). - Populate and copy engines: Trostani and other populate or copy effects repeatedly duplicate the best token on board, from big Angels and Horses to the whole token army (Rhys the Redeemed, Nesting Dovehawk, Bramble Sovereign). - Lifegain-to-board conversion: Trostani's toughness-based lifegain and per-creature life triggers set off end-step and on-gain effects that create large flyers and beasts, or put counters on the whole team (Archangel of Thune, Crested Sunmare, Resplendent Angel). - Token generators: Recurring sources keep bodies entering every turn through attacks, landfall and end steps, which feeds both the doublers and Trostani (Adeline, Resplendent Cathar, Scute Swarm, Ocelot Pride). - Token-fueled card flow: Cards are drawn off tokens entering or being created each turn, keeping the hand full during the grind (Bennie Bracks, Zoologist, Caretaker's Talent, Idol of Oblivion). - Creature-mana finishers: Dorks and creature-mana effects turn a wide board into huge mana, and closers convert the width into lethal damage or an alternate win (Cryptolith Rite, Craterhoof Behemoth, Halo Fountain).
