Azlask, the Swelling Scourge sits at the center of an Eldrazi token swarm strategy that accumulates experience counters by flooding the board with colorless Eldrazi Scions and Spawns and then sacrificing them, growing Azlask's pump ability into a game-ending threat. The deck continuously generates these small tokens through upkeep triggers, enters-the-battlefield effects, and death replacement effects, using them both as mana acceleration and as fodder to rack up experience counters before converting the board into an overwhelming alpha strike with massive stat bonuses, indestructibility, and annihilator. Resilience comes from board wipes that spare colorless permanents, recursion effects that return key Eldrazi to hand or battlefield, and finishers like Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger that punish opponents even as they try to stabilize.
