Marath, Will of the Wild serves as both an engine and a weapon, using its modular activated ability to distribute +1/+1 counters, deal direct damage, or generate Elemental tokens — all fueled by mana and counter manipulation. The deck accelerates into this engine through ramp and counter-doubling effects, then leverages enrage creatures that reward being pinged by Marath to generate additional value in the form of lands, tokens, and card draw. The primary win condition is not an infinite loop combining Marath with Cathars' Crusade and Crystalline Crawler, which generates unbounded counters, tokens, and mana that can be converted into lethal damage or an overwhelming board state but the many interactions with all kind of cards in the deck.
