Ghalta, Primal Hunger Commander Deck

by infernal_robot100 cards

Mono-green big-creature stompy: elves and rocks ramp into a wall of high-power creatures, which make Ghalta, Primal Hunger and the other cost-reducing giants nearly free. The deck runs on total and greatest power. Cheap oversized bodies push that number up, "power 4 or greater enters" engines turn every fatty into cards, and doublers plus mass trample turn the board into lethal combat damage. How it wins: Ghalta and a crowd of huge tramplers, pumped by doubling and power-based overruns and given haste, swing through blockers for lethal combat damage, often in one big turn. Key roles: - Mana engine: Mana dorks and land ramp accelerate early, then scaling sources pay out on big boards: power-based mana, devotion and creature-only mana floods. That lets the deck dump several fatties in one turn. (Selvala, Heart of the Wilds, Fanatic of Rhonas, Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx) - Power-dense bodies: Undercosted creatures with outsized power, despite drawbacks, quickly inflate total power. That makes Ghalta, Primal Hunger cheap, along with the other cards that discount by greatest power and Mosswort Bridge. (Pugnacious Hammerskull, Gigantosaurus, Slumbering Trudge) - Big-body card flow: Enchantments and creatures draw a card whenever a large creature enters or a creature spell is cast. Power-scaled draw and sacrifice outlets convert a huge creature straight into a handful of cards. (Garruk's Uprising, The Great Henge, Greater Good) - Cheating and cost reduction: Discounts, cost reducers and put-into-play effects let the deck deploy several giants per turn, bypassing their full costs. (Ghalta, Stampede Tyrant, Goreclaw, Terror of Qal Sisma, Last March of the Ents) - Doubling and counters: Effects that double the whole team's power each combat, along with counters that scale off a creature's own power, multiply already-large stats into overkill damage. (Unnatural Growth, Zopandrel, Hunger Dominus, Railway Brawler) - Trample, haste and finishing: Team-wide trample, haste enablers, power-based overruns and fight effects let freshly cast giants attack at once and push damage through blockers. (Surrak and Goreclaw, Overwhelming Stampede, Concordant Crossroads)
