The Gitrog, Ravenous Ride functions as a land acceleration engine: by saddling it with a high-power creature and dealing combat damage, the deck draws cards and floods the battlefield with lands, rapidly building an overwhelming board state. The deck amplifies this by running landfall payoffs that generate creature tokens, grow existing creatures, and drain opponents, while large threats are further inflated by effects that double power and toughness or grant trample and massive stat bonuses to the whole team. The primary combo win is Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord paired with Wall of Blood, which can pump Wall of Blood's power to astronomical levels using life payments and then sacrifice it to drain all opponents simultaneously for lethal damage.
