Chiss-Goria, Forge Tyrant Commander Deck

by BillyMoney100 cards

Mono-red artifact ramp built around Chiss-Goria. A dense pile of mana rocks, artifact lands and cheap artifacts cuts the commander's affinity cost so it can come down early, hasty and flying. Each attack then exiles five cards that may contain artifact threats, which can be cast cheaply with affinity. Around that engine sit big colorless bombs, colorless-sweeper and board-wipe control that spares the deck's own artifacts, and an artifact recursion and copy suite that turns sacrifices into value. How it wins: It swings with Chiss-Goria and the artifact fatties it digs into, such as Myr Battlesphere, Steel Hellkite, Wurmcoil Engine, Craterclaw Colossus and Memnarch, the Warden, after colored-permanent wipes and sweepers have cleared opponents' boards, with Valakut and the mass of Mountains as a backup source of damage. Key roles: - Artifact count and acceleration: Cheap rocks, artifact lands and token makers raise the artifact count to discount Chiss-Goria's affinity, then ramp straight into seven- to ten-mana artifact threats (Sol Ring, Thran Dynamo, Everflowing Chalice) - Top-of-library artifact casting: Effects that let the deck cast or cheat spells off the top stack with Chiss-Goria's attack trigger, keeping a steady flow of free or cheap artifacts. Trigger copiers can double the commander's exile-five trigger (Mystic Forge, Strionic Resonator, Chimil, the Inner Sun) - One-sided board wipes: Sweepers that hit only colored permanents, or that mostly kill opposing creatures, leave the colorless artifact board largely intact, made safer still when artifacts are indestructible (All Is Dust, Ugin, Eye of the Storms, Darksteel Forge) - Artifact recursion and sacrifice loops: Sacrifice outlets paired with return-from-graveyard effects recycle card-draw rocks and dead threats, and can mass-reanimate the scrapheap (Scrap Trawler, Trading Post, Scrap Mastery) - Untap and copy tricks: Untappers and copiers multiply rock mana, activated abilities and permanent spells, enabling explosive turns (Clock of Omens, Manifold Key, Lithoform Engine) - Artifact-colossus finishers: Large artifact creatures that generate tokens, card advantage or removal on attack close the game alongside the commander (Myr Battlesphere, Memnarch, the Warden, Steel Hellkite)
