This deck turns Kotis, the Fangkeeper into a growing, evasive threat by stacking +1/+1 counters on it, using counter doublers and adders to inflate its power. Every point of combat damage Kotis deals exiles that many cards from the opponent's library and lets the deck cast anything there with mana value up to that number for free. Kotis's indestructibility makes it a safe target for counters. Unblockability, trample and extra combat-damage triggers turn each hit into a large free-spell cascade, backed by other "cast from an opponent's library" effects. How it wins: Kotis, or a copy of it, is pumped with counters until a single connection deals heavy commander damage and casts a pile of the opponent's best spells for free, overwhelming the table with stolen threats and combat damage. Key roles: - Counter growth: These cards put +1/+1 counters on Kotis, the Fangkeeper, often scaling with its power or the number of lands, so X climbs high quickly. (Growth Curve, Thickest in the Thicket, Will of the Sultai) - Counter multipliers: Replacement effects add to or double every counter placed, and proliferate on landfall stacks further, so every small counter source becomes a big one. (Innkeeper's Talent, The Earth Crystal, Kami of Whispered Hopes) - Getting through: Counters double as evasion, since counter-bearing creatures become unblockable or gain trample, alongside activated unblockable effects that make sure Kotis, the Fangkeeper connects. (Herald of Secret Streams, Zegana, Utopian Speaker, Garruk's Uprising) - Trigger amplification: These cards make combat-damage triggers happen again, so one Kotis, the Fangkeeper hit exiles and casts twice, and copy effects make more Kotis bodies that keep their counters. (Felix Five-Boots, Strionic Resonator, Vesuvan Duplimancy) - Stolen-spell engine: A secondary package casts and plays cards from opponents' libraries or exile, feeding a payoff that adds counters whenever a spell is cast from outside the hand and untaps counter-bearing creatures. (Villainous Wealth, Gonti, Canny Acquisitor, The Thirteenth Doctor) - Landfall ramp: Land searches ramp toward the expensive pieces while triggering counter placement and proliferate on each land drop. (Beorn's Hospitality, Evolution Sage, Prishe's Wanderings)
