Helga, Skittish Seer fuels a snowballing big-creature strategy by tapping for increasingly large amounts of colored mana as she grows, using that mana to cast a stream of large creatures that in turn draw cards, gain life, and stack +1/+1 counters on her. The deck leans on hydras and other X-cost creatures to exploit Helga's mana generation at maximum efficiency, while counter-doubling effects like Kalonian Hydra accelerate the board's growth, and End-Raze Forerunners or Thunderfoot Baloth can close games in a single swing by granting the team trample and a massive power boost. Felidar Sovereign provides an alternative win condition given the consistent life gain, and counterspells and protection pieces keep Helga on the battlefield long enough for the engine to take over.
