Flubs, the Fool
Flubs, the Fool Commander Deck
Flubs turns every land drop and spell into a loot: an empty hand draws a card, and a non-empty hand forces a discard. The deck is built to run its hand down to zero, so the commander becomes a draw engine. It does this with a pile of zero- and one-mana artifacts, creatures and cheap spells, extra land drops, and bounce lands that replay themselves. The forced discards are turned into value through madness creatures, cards that can be played from the graveyard or exile, and recursion, building toward a big storm turn. How it wins: It chains many cheap spells and land drops in one turn, refilling through Flubs, Song of Creation and Underworld Breach, then finishes with a lethal Grapeshot or a storm of Chatterstorm squirrels or Aeve copies backed by evasion. Key roles: - Free and cheap chaff: Zero-cost artifacts and creatures empty the hand quickly so Flubs, the Fool draws instead of discards, and every one adds to the storm count (Mishra's Bauble, Ornithopter, Everflowing Chalice). - Land-drop engine: Extra land permissions, fetches and self-bouncing karoo lands turn each land play into another Flubs, the Fool trigger. Lands can be replayed from the graveyard (Summer Bloom, Ramunap Excavator, Simic Growth Chamber). - Discard payoffs: Madness creatures, cast-from-graveyard threats and play-the-discard effects turn the commander's forced discards into free plays (Basking Rootwalla, Containment Construct, Squee, the Immortal). - Draw and refill engines: Card advantage engines and draw replacements keep the chain going and fill the graveyard with fuel (Song of Creation, Eruth, Tormented Prophet, Abundance). - Recursion and mana loops: Graveyard recasting, regrowth and land-untapping spells extend a storm turn, while sacrifice-for-mana creatures fuel bursts (Underworld Breach, Eternal Witness, Snap). - Storm finishers: Storm spells convert the turn's spell count into damage or a board, with flying granted from the graveyard to push tokens through (Grapeshot, Chatterstorm, Aeve, Progenitor Ooze).
