The deck builds a wide board of Cleric creatures and weaponizes their deaths to trigger Orah's ability, creating a cascading chain of recursion that returns progressively cheaper Clerics from the graveyard to the battlefield. By deliberately sacrificing or trading Clerics in combat, the deck generates continuous value while rebuilding its board state, ensuring threats keep coming even after sweepers or targeted removal — a particular strength against token-based strategies like Hawkeye's combat-focused aggression and the creature-heavy Primal Artistry precon, where board wipes and recursive pressure outlast wide boards. The lifelink on Orah and the life-gaining tendencies of the Cleric tribe help stabilize against aggression while the engine grinds opponents out through attrition, making it difficult for creature-centric strategies to maintain a permanent advantage.
