This is a Zaxara X-spell deck. Zaxara taps for two mana and turns every cast spell with X in its cost into a Hydra token carrying X +1/+1 counters, so each big X spell is effectively two threats. The list is packed with X creatures and X sorceries and instants, backed by mana acceleration and X-specific mana. Counter doublers, token doublers and X doublers multiply the size of both the spell and the bonus Hydra. How it wins: The deck builds an overwhelming board of huge trampling Hydras and X creatures, then closes with a massive X drain like Exsanguinate, or with the counter-fed alternate win of Simic Ascendancy. Key roles: - X spell suite: Creatures and spells with X in their cost that each trigger Zaxara for a free Hydra. Many also carry value of their own, such as card draw, tutoring or removal. (Hydroid Krasis, Genesis Hydra, Walking Ballista) - Multipliers: Effects that double X, copy X instants and sorceries, double tokens, or add extra +1/+1 counters, so Zaxara's tokens and the X creatures grow out of proportion. Copies from these effects aren't cast and don't make extra Hydras, but they do double the spell's effect. (Unbound Flourishing, Adrix and Nev, Twincasters, Branching Evolution) - X-focused mana: Zaxara's own mana ability, artifacts that charge up on X casts, untap auras on Zaxara or another big mana creature, and creatures that tap for mana equal to the greatest power, all to pump ever-larger X values. (Elementalist's Palette, Selvala, Heart of the Wilds, Pemmin's Aura) - Counter payoffs: Cards that reward piling +1/+1 counters on many bodies with cards, evasion or an outright win. (Simic Ascendancy, Inspiring Call, Zimone, Paradox Sculptor) - Big-body card flow: Effects that draw or dig off large creatures entering or X spells being cast, keeping the hand stocked with fuel. (Garruk's Uprising, Geometer's Arthropod, Up the Beanstalk) - X finishers and interaction: Scalable drains, removal and counterspells that double as Hydra makers and end the game or clear the way. (Exsanguinate, Villainous Wealth, Finale of Eternity)
