Urza Artifacts Real

Urza, Lord Protector Commander Deck

by duskborn_eye100 cards

An Azorius artifact deck that uses Urza, Lord Protector and a stack of cost reducers to chain cheap artifacts and spells. Artifact casts feed card draw and Thopter token engines, and the deck builds a wide board of artifact creatures that anthems scale with the artifact count. The commander also offers a late-game meld into Urza, Planeswalker with The Mightstone and Weakstone. Recursion loops and counterspells keep the board running while flash enablers let it develop at instant speed. How it wins: It overwhelms opponents with an artifact army pumped by artifact-count lords and anthems, or by mass animation, backed by Psychosis Crawler pings, an Approach of the Second Sun alternate win, and the melded Urza, Planeswalker. Key roles: - Cost reduction: Stacked discounts on artifacts, instants and sorceries alongside Urza, Lord Protector let the deck cast several artifacts a turn and make affinity cards nearly free (Etherium Sculptor, Foundry Inspector, Cloud Key) - Cast triggers: Every artifact spell creates a flying Thopter or loots, turning cheap artifacts into board presence and card selection (Sai, Master Thopterist, Efficient Construction, Riddlesmith) - Artifact army payoffs: Lords and pump effects scale with the artifact count or animate the whole board into lethal threats (Master of Etherium, Urza, Prince of Kroog, The Antiquities War) - Recursion and value loops: Sacrifice outlets combine with artifacts that rebuy or draw when they hit the graveyard, recovering key pieces and grinding card advantage (Scrap Trawler, Ashnod's Altar, Emry, Lurker of the Loch) - Card draw finisher: A heavy draw suite and no maximum hand size turn every draw into life loss and grow a large threat (Psychosis Crawler, Thirst for Knowledge, Padeem, Consul of Innovation) - Control and alternate wins: Counters and tap effects stall opponents, mass removal resets the board around colorless artifacts, and Approach and the meld offer separate routes to victory (All Is Dust, Approach of the Second Sun, The Mightstone and Weakstone)
