Zaxara's own two-mana tap, X-only mana sources and big-mana rocks pump X as high as possible. Counter doublers and token doublers then multiply both the spell and the Hydra token it brings. How it wins: It builds an oversized board of Hydras and X creatures that attack through unblockability, trample and evasion, or finishes with a huge X drain or with Simic Ascendancy's growth counters.
