The Riveteers

Ziatora, the Incinerator Commander Deck

by TMinus100 cards

Ziatora's Riveteers deck runs on blitz and sacrifice. It casts hasty creatures, many with blitz, swings with them for value, then feeds them to sacrifice outlets. Ziatora's end-step sacrifice turns a creature's power into direct damage plus three Treasures, while blitz death triggers draw cards and Henzie gives every creature spell of mana value 4 or more blitz. The Treasures that pile up fuel more threats, power-boosting effects make each sacrifice hit harder, and recursion brings the fodder back to do it again. How it wins: Repeated hasty attacks wear opponents down while Ziatora's end-step fling, the once-per-turn Forge Boss drain, Devil token pings and Syrix burn finish off players and blockers. Key roles: - Blitz and haste threats: Hasty creatures attack the turn they land and draw a card when they die. Many of them leave tokens or Treasures behind, so each one turns into value and sacrifice fodder for Ziatora's end step. (Henzie "Toolbox" Torre, Pugnacious Pugilist, Workshop Warchief) - Sacrifice and death payoffs: Beyond Ziatora's trigger, these cards reward creatures dying or being sacrificed with damage to opponents, growing threats or token replacements. Some of them only pay off once per turn. (Forge Boss, Kresh the Bloodbraided, Caldaia Guardian) - Power pumping for bigger flings: Counters and power doubling raise a creature's power before it attacks or is sacrificed, so Ziatora's damage grows with it. (Mr. Orfeo, the Boulder, Caldaia Strongarm, Rishkar, Peema Renegade) - Treasure economy: Ziatora's Treasures, combat triggers and death triggers make mana that is amplified and spent to cast more threats, card advantage and haste chains. (Jolene, the Plunder Queen, Ognis, the Dragon's Lash, Professional Face-Breaker) - Recursion and repeatable fodder: Creatures that come back from the graveyard or replace themselves keep the sacrifice loop going without spending cards. (Riveteers Ascendancy, Tenacious Underdog, Squee, the Immortal) - Impulse draw and card flow: Exiling cards off the top of libraries and drawing extra cards refills the hand so the deck can keep deploying expendable attackers. (Mezzio Mugger, Urabrask, Heretic Praetor, Ziatora's Envoy)
