Minthara, Merciless Soul sits at the center of a strategy that accumulates experience counters by continuously cycling permanents off the battlefield, then uses those counters to pump the entire creature team into an overwhelming combat force. The deck generates this churn through sacrifice outlets like Ashnod's Altar and Phyrexian Altar, blink effects that flicker creatures in and out, and token generators that provide a steady stream of expendable bodies, all while sacrifice-punishment enchantments like Grave Pact and Dictate of Erebos clear away opposing blockers. The end goal is to snowball Minthara's counter total high enough that the team becomes an unblockable-in-practice army of massive creatures, with Mirkwood Bats draining opponents for each token death along the way as an alternate path to victory.
