Admiral Brass, Unsinkable
Admiral Brass, Unsinkable Commander Deck
Admiral Brass, Unsinkable leads a Grixis Pirate tribal deck that fills the graveyard with self-mill and looting, then returns a Pirate creature card from the graveyard at every beginning of combat as a hasty 4/4 with a finality counter. Those reanimated Pirates trigger enter-the-battlefield value from the Pirates already on the board. The board swings wide each turn with lords and attack triggers. Combat damage from Pirates is turned into cards, Treasure, stolen permanents and extra combats. How it wins: Wide, pumped Pirate attacks push lethal combat damage through blockers, amplified by anthem effects, doubled damage and extra combat phases, while damage triggers bury opponents in card and resource disadvantage. Key roles: - Graveyard fuel: Self-mill and loot/discard effects stock Pirate creature cards for Admiral Brass, Unsinkable to reanimate each combat. Several discard outlets reward pitching Pirates specifically. (Ballad of the Black Flag, Mary Read and Anne Bonny, Faithless Looting) - Pirate ETB payoffs: Every Pirate entering, including each combat reanimation, triggers stealing, tapping or Treasure-making. Repeated reanimation turns these into recurring engines, and Skeleton Crew adds tokens whenever creature cards leave the graveyard. (Coercive Recruiter, Gemcutter Buccaneer, Merchant Raiders) - Pirate anthems and combat pumps: Lords and attack-based buffs make a wide team of Pirates lethal quickly, with damage doubling as a top end. (Admiral Beckett Brass, Dire Fleet Neckbreaker, Shared Animosity) - Combat damage value: Pirates connecting with players draw cards, make Treasure and exile opponents' library cards to play, refuelling the hand and mana every turn. (Coastal Piracy, Ramirez DePietro, Pillager, Malcolm, Keen-Eyed Navigator) - Theft and borrowed creatures: Temporary steal effects grab blockers or threats and turn them into Pirates for anthems. Hostage-style exile and the end-step gain-control trigger take permanents permanently. (Don Andres, the Renegade, Hostage Taker, Zara, Renegade Recruiter) - Evasion and extra combats: Menace, flying, can't-block and ability-stripping effects get damage through, and an untap trigger adds whole extra combat phases. (Port Razer, Breeches, Eager Pillager, Warkite Marauder)
