Balan, Wandering Knight is a Voltron-style commander deck that assembles a critical mass of Equipment and uses Balan's activated ability to instantly attach all of them at once, transforming it into a massive double-striking threat capable of winning through commander damage. The deck accelerates this plan with cost-reduction effects, instant-speed equipping from Forge Anew, and equipment that provides power boosts, evasion through flying or intimidate, and keywords like trample and lifelink to push through or close out the game. A secondary Cat tribal subtheme supports the strategy through token generation and anthem effects, with Felidar Sovereign offering an alternative win condition for life totals that swell naturally from the deck's abundance of lifelink.
