Terra, Herald of Hope leads a Mardu reanimator deck that fills its own graveyard through self-mill, looting and tutor-to-graveyard effects, then pulls creatures back in an endless stream. Terra mills two every combat and flies in. When it connects, paying 2 returns a creature with power 3 or less, so the deck is packed with cheap value creatures, most of them 3-power Final Fantasy legends, whose enter-the-battlefield and attack triggers chain into each other. Repeated recursion feeds payoffs that grow the board, copy returned creatures and drain opponents whenever cards leave the graveyard or creatures die. How it wins: Terra and a recurring team of attackers grind opponents down through combat, made larger by double strike and extra combats, while the drain engines and mass reanimation with Rise of the Dark Realms or Living Death finish off weakened tables. Key roles: - Graveyard filling: Self-mill, discard-draw and graveyard tutors stock creatures and spells for Terra and the other recursion to use, and enable threshold and delirium (Buried Alive, Stitcher's Supplier, Entomb) - Combat-damage recursion: Alongside Terra, several attackers and end-step triggers return cheap creatures from the graveyard every turn, which rewards keeping power at 3 or less (Squall, SeeD Mercenary, Alesha, Who Laughs at Fate, General Leo Cristophe) - Reanimation spells and mass returns: Direct reanimation brings back bigger targets, and board-wide returns can swing the game outright (Victimize, Reanimate, Rise of the Dark Realms) - Graveyard-leave payoffs: Cards that trigger whenever creatures enter from or leave the graveyard turn each recursion into counters, token copies, card draw and direct damage (Celes, Rune Knight, Twilight Diviner, Gau, Feral Youth) - Sacrifice and death value: Sac outlets and edicts recycle creatures back into the graveyard while drawing cards and draining opponents, and Luminous Broodmoth brings dying creatures back (Sephiroth, Fabled SOLDIER, Syr Konrad, the Grim, Shadow, Mysterious Assassin) - Combat amplifiers: Double strike, extra combats and evasion multiply Terra's and Squall's connect triggers and close games quickly (Blade Historian, Aurelia, the Warleader, Fear of Missing Out)
