Tam and Friends

Tam, the Possibility Commander Deck

This is a superfriends deck built around Tam, which makes planeswalker spells cheaper and, with all five colors of mana, proliferates once for each planeswalker type among the walkers you control. The deck deploys a large pile of planeswalkers, protects them with attack taxes and defensive walkers, and grows their loyalty through proliferate and counter doublers. Every loyalty activation also feeds token-making and value engines. How it wins: It builds an overwhelming board of planeswalkers and doubled tokens, then pushes through damage with pumped creatures, Sarkhan's Dragons, and All Will Be One pings from counters, or ultimates a walker, with the Vraska poison ultimate plus counter doubling as an alternate finish. Key cards: - Proliferate engines: These repeatedly add loyalty and other counters on every permanent, and Tekuthal makes each proliferate happen twice. Flux Channeler and Evolution Sage trigger it off spells and land drops. - Counter and token doublers: Doubling Season and Innkeeper's Talent double the counters and tokens that every planeswalker and proliferate effect produces. Elspeth, Storm Slayer adds to the token doubling. - Counter payoffs: All Will Be One turns each counter placement into damage to opponents or their creatures, and it makes the proliferate and doubling engines directly lethal. - Planeswalker defense: Sphere of Safety, Norn's Annex and Onakke Oathkeeper tax or restrict attacks, and Tomik, Wielder of Law punishes opponents who attack. This keeps the walkers alive long enough to ultimate. - Loyalty ability amplifiers: Oath of Teferi and Rings of Brighthearth let you use loyalty abilities more than once per turn, and Ajani Unrelenting makes a token for each activation.
