It then piles equipment, auras, +1/+1 counter multipliers and pump effects onto Lucky or another big threat and swings through with trample, evasion and lifelink. A Food package (Cat, Dog and Hero casts, Food generators and token doublers) keeps the lifegain flowing, turns Food into mana and value, and backs up a counters engine that snowballs whichever creature carries the gear. How it wins: By making one creature, usually Lucky, enormous with counters, doubling effects and huge pump, then using trample, unblockability and protection to land lethal commander or combat damage, with oversized hitters like Jumbo Cactuar and Colossification as backup. Key roles: - Lifegain triggers: Lifelink equipment, creatures that gain life whenever creatures enter, and life-on-cast tricks make sure life is gained every turn. Token multipliers stack extra Food, Treasure and Clues, and the Food doubles as mana, lifegain and fuel for devouring or giant-making (Tippy-Toe, Terrific Partner, Academy Manufactor, Nuka-Cola Vending Machine). - Counter growth and doubling: Effects that add extra counters, double existing counters or double power turn Lucky's small steady growth into lethal size within a few turns (Hardened Scales, Hydra's Growth, Bristly Bill, Spine Sower). - Voltron gear and evasion: Auras and equipment add power, trample, unblockability and extra untaps so the chosen threat connects. Trample-granting cards key off modified or countered creatures (Rancor, Whispersilk Cloak, Kodama of the West Tree). - Protection suite: Hexproof, indestructible, shroud and regeneration effects, many of which also gain life, keep the suited-up threat alive through removal and wraths (Tyvar's Stand, Heroic Intervention, Lightning Greaves). - Power-based card advantage and tutors: Draw spells that scale with the biggest creature's power or counters refuel the hand, and creature tutors fetch key pieces or finishers (Return of the Wildspeaker, Rishkar's Expertise, Finale of Devastation).
