Codie turns a board of prepare creatures into a spell-doubling engine: every prepared spell cast from those creatures gets copied, and its five-color activation re-prepares the whole team at once. Re-arming comes from Codie, upkeep self-preparers, prepare lands and blink effects that re-enter "enters prepared" creatures. Because each prepared cast is a copy from outside the hand, it also feeds magecraft payoffs, spell copiers and free-cast card draw, so tutors, Treasure, cards and reanimation snowball into a burst turn. How it wins: It builds a wide board of prepare creatures, re-prepares them repeatedly, and chains copied spells through magecraft drain and pings, an X-sized Exsanguinate, or Fractal and token armies until the table is dead. Key roles: - Prepare creatures: Creatures carrying castable spell halves, often cheap staples like tutors, card draw, ramp and removal, which Codie doubles every time they are cast (Emeritus of Woe // Demonic Tutor, Emeritus of Ideation // Ancestral Recall, Sanar, Unfinished Genius // Wild Idea) - Re-preparing: Ways to reset prepared status, through upkeep self-preparers, land activations, and flicker effects that make "enters prepared" creatures re-enter ready to cast again (Skycoach Waypoint, Displacer Kitten, Flickering Hound) - Mana for activations: Mana dorks, Treasure and Heartwood makers, and creature-tapping mana that fund Codie's five-color activation and repeated prepared casts, many of them doubled by Codie themselves (Cryptolith Rite, Blazing Firesinger // Seething Song, Storm-Kiln Artist) - Copy amplifiers: Effects that add copies on top of Codie's, so each prepared spell resolves three or more times (Twinning Staff, Pigment Wrangler // Striking Palette, Thousand-Year Storm) - Cast and copy payoffs: Magecraft and noncreature-cast triggers, plus draw on spells cast from outside the hand, which reward every copied spell with drain, damage or cards (Professor Onyx, Archmage Emeritus, Vega, the Watcher) - Finishers and recursion: X spells and token makers close games once copied, while reanimation and graveyard casting rebuild the creature board (Stensian Sanguinist // Exsanguinate, Jadzi, Steward of Fate // Oracle's Gift, Grave Researcher // Reanimate)
