Arna's Equipment Voltron deck: it suits up an evasive creature, often Arna, with a pile of Equipment. Arna's attack trigger then copies every nontoken Equipment attached to the attacker as a token attached to it, doubling the swords and their combat-damage triggers each attack. Tutors, cost reducers, free-attach effects and Equipment-cast card draw build the stack fast, while counterspells, spot removal and sweepers keep the board clear for one huge threat. How it wins: It connects with one heavily equipped, evasive or double-striking creature whose stacked Equipment (and copies from Arna's trigger) deal commander damage or lethal combat damage, backed by repeated sword triggers that draw cards, untap lands and burn opponents. Key roles: - Equipment duplication engine: Arna's attack trigger copies each nontoken Equipment on the modified attacker. Anointed Procession doubles those tokens and the copies made by Bloodforged Battle-Axe, and Cloud, Midgar Mercenary makes the attached Equipment's triggers fire twice. (Anointed Procession, Bloodforged Battle-Axe, Cloud, Midgar Mercenary) - Equipment tutoring and cheating: These creatures find Equipment or put it straight onto the battlefield, often already attached, so a needed sword or protection piece shows up on time. (Stoneforge Mystic, Stonehewer Giant, Armored Skyhunter) - Equip cost reduction and free attachment: These cards make suiting up cheap or instant-speed so several pieces can move onto one attacker in a single turn. (Puresteel Paladin, Hammer of Nazahn, Forge Anew) - Equipment card advantage: Casting or landing Equipment draws cards, as do equipped creatures' combat hits, so the deck refuels while it builds a threat. (Sram, Senior Edificer, Swordsman's Steel, Mask of Riddles) - Evasion and multiple strikes: Unblockable bodies, flying and fear carriers make sure the loaded creature connects. Double strike and extra combats multiply the damage and the sword triggers. (Halvar, God of Battle // Sword of the Realms, Genji Glove, Invisible Stalker) - Payoff Equipment and anthem scaling: Swords of X and Y, and Equipment that grows with the number of attached pieces, turn the stack into lethal damage while adding protection, discard, land untaps and recursion.
