Gogo, Master of Mimicry

Gogo, Master of Mimicry Commander Deck

Gogo, Master of Mimicry turns a single land-fetching ability into several. In response to a fetchland or other search-for-a-land activation, or a landfall or similar trigger, Gogo copies it X times, each copy putting another land onto the battlefield. Because the copies need no extra cost, every fetch can become a burst of ramp, building toward huge mana totals that pay for oversized spells and ever-larger Gogo activations. How it wins: The deck uses its swelling land count to cast game-ending big spells, such as massive X spells, extra turns or overwhelming bombs, before opponents can keep pace. Key roles: - Fetch and search engines: Lands and permanents with activated abilities that search the library for lands, the main thing Gogo, Master of Mimicry copies to turn one activation into several lands. - Landfall and land-entry payoffs: Triggered abilities that fire whenever a land enters, rewarding each extra land and giving Gogo, Master of Mimicry more triggers to copy for mana, cards or board presence. - Untap and mana doublers: Effects that untap Gogo, Master of Mimicry or multiply mana, so the commander can activate more than once a turn and pay large X costs. - Ability-rich permanents: Artifacts and creatures with strong activated or triggered abilities, giving Gogo, Master of Mimicry something to copy once the mana base is built, from card draw to removal. - Big spell finishers: Expensive or X-cost spells that turn a huge mana pool into a decisive swing and close out the game. - Defense and stalling: Counterspells, bounce and blockers that keep Gogo, Master of Mimicry alive and buy time while the ramp engine builds toward its finishers.
