Light-Paws is a mono-white Voltron deck that stacks Auras on a single creature, usually the commander itself. Every Aura cast while Light-Paws is out tutors a second Aura of equal or lower mana value with a different name straight onto Light-Paws, so the commander rarely enchants itself directly. It suits up through these free Aura tutors. Cost reducers, cast-triggered card draw and enchantment-count payoffs turn the stream of cheap Auras into card advantage, a huge body and a layered set of protections. How it wins: Light-Paws, or another suited-up creature, becomes a massive evasive, lifelinking, often double-striking threat that is shielded by protection Auras, and it kills opponents through commander damage or plain combat damage. Key roles: - Aura chaining and cost reduction: The many one- and two-mana Auras give Light-Paws cheap triggers that fetch free Auras onto it, while the discount creatures and a lone tutor let several triggers happen in one turn. (Danitha Capashen, Paragon, Hero of Iroas, Starfield Mystic) - Cast-trigger card flow: Every Aura spell also draws cards or rewards Auras landing on an already-modified creature, so the deck refuels while it builds its threat. (Sram, Senior Edificer, Kor Spiritdancer, Pearl-Ear, Imperial Advisor) - Scaling damage Auras: These Auras grow with the number of enchantments or Auras in play, or grant double strike, first strike and lifelink, so one creature can deal lethal commander damage fast. (Ethereal Armor, Battle Mastery, Eidolon of Countless Battles) - Layered protection: Cheap color-protection, ward, umbra armor and indestructible Auras, backed by protection-granting creatures and blanket shroud, keep the stacked creature alive. The color-protection Auras are low-cost targets that are easy to tutor with Light-Paws triggers. (Greater Auramancy, Mother of Runes, Hyena Umbra) - Removal on Auras: Exile-until-leaves Auras and pacifism-style Auras answer opposing threats while also counting as Aura casts that trigger Light-Paws and the draw engines. (Sheltered by Ghosts, Ossification, Darksteel Mutation) - Enchantment payoffs and recursion: Constellation and enchantment-count cards generate tokens, counters and mana from the Aura stream, and mass-return effects rebuild the board after a wipe. (Archon of Sun's Grace, Serra's Sanctum, Retether)
