The deck revolves around triggering all four bending mechanics — waterbending, earthbending, firebending, and airbending — in a single turn to transform Avatar Aang into Aang, Master of Elements, drawing a card each time one of those triggers fires. Once transformed, Aang reduces the cost of all spells by all five colors of mana, enabling the deck to cast expensive multicolor spells for little to no mana, and each upkeep the deck can flip him back to his base form to repeatedly trigger the four-life gain, four-card draw, four damage to each opponent, and four +1/+1 counters. The gameplan centers on consistently assembling all four bending effects each turn to cycle between forms, accumulating incremental advantages through card draw and damage while leveraging the massive cost reduction to deploy otherwise prohibitively expensive threats.
