Terra, Herald of Hope leads a Mardu graveyard aristocrats deck. It fills its own graveyard through self-mill, looting and dredge, then loops cheap creatures back to the battlefield. Terra mills two cards each combat and flies in, and a connected hit lets it pay 2 to return a creature with power 3 or less. That reanimation is backed by Alesha, Lurrus, Karmic Guide, Redemption Choir and Animate Dead. Sacrifice outlets and death triggers turn every recurred body into value, damage and life drain. How it wins: The deck grinds opponents out by repeatedly sacrificing and reanimating small creatures through drain and ping payoffs like Mayhem Devil, Syr Konrad, Elas il-Kor and Gray Merchant, closing with a Karmic Guide or Luminous Broodmoth loop off a free sac outlet, or a mass reanimation swing with Living Death. Key roles: - Graveyard filling: Self-mill, dredge, looting and discard outlets stock the graveyard with creatures and enable delirium tutoring, adding to Terra's own two-card mill each combat (Stitcher's Supplier, Vile Entomber, Golgari Thug). - Recursion engines: Repeatable reanimators pull cheap creatures back every turn, alongside Terra's combat-damage return of power 3 or less creatures. Some, like Twilight Diviner, copy anything that comes back from the graveyard (Alesha, Who Laughs at Fate, Lurrus of the Dream-Den, Twilight Diviner). - Sacrifice outlets: Free or mana-producing outlets let creatures die on demand, fuel rituals and treasure, and set up loops with recursion (Viscera Seer, Ashnod's Altar, Warren Soultrader). - Death and recursion payoffs: Every creature dying, hitting the graveyard or leaving it pings or drains the table and buffs the board (Mayhem Devil, Syr Konrad, the Grim, Elas il-Kor, Sadistic Pilgrim). - Infinite loops: A free sac outlet with Luminous Broodmoth returning non-flyers, or Karmic Guide reanimating itself through Ashnod's Altar and a death payoff, produces unbounded death triggers. Underworld Breach recasts the yard as a further combo-style finisher (Luminous Broodmoth, Karmic Guide, Underworld Breach). - Value creatures and disruption: Tutors for small creatures plus ETB removal bodies become repeatable interaction once recycled through the graveyard, and graveyard hate keeps opponents in check (Recruiter of the Guard, Skyclave Apparition, Dauthi Voidwalker).
