Spider tribal aggro: Cosmic Spider-Man gives every other Spider flying, first strike, trample, lifelink and haste at the beginning of combat on each of its controller's turns. That turns a wide board of cheap Spiders and Spider tokens into an evasive, life-gaining strike force that can attack the turn it lands. Web-slinging bounces tapped attackers to recast them cheaply, re-triggering enter and cast effects. Counters, anthems and Auras grow the team, so the granted trample and lifelink hit hard, and modified-creature payoffs turn combat damage into card advantage. How it wins: Swinging with a wide, pumped team of Spiders that Cosmic Spider-Man has made flying, trampling, first-striking and hasty, overwhelming opponents through the air while lifelink keeps the deck ahead on life. Key roles: - Spider bodies and tokens: Cheap Spider creatures and token makers fill the board with bodies that all inherit Cosmic Spider-Man's keyword package, so every Spider becomes a hasty evasive threat (Peter Parker, Spiders-Man, Heroic Horde, Twitching Doll) - Web-slinging tempo: Tapped attackers are returned to hand to cast web-slingers at a discount. Bounced creatures with enter or cast triggers get reused, and some returns also feed bonuses scaled to the returned creature (Scarlet Spider, Ben Reilly, Silk, Web Weaver, Spider-Man India) - Counters and modification: +1/+1 counters spread and get doubled on attack, which turns on the deck's payoffs for modified creatures, such as Skyward Spider gaining flying and modified attackers exiling cards to play (Miles Morales, Araña, Heart of the Spider, Web-Warriors) - Tribal anthems and lords: Static buffs and cost reduction make the Spider swarm larger and faster, and some lords hand out deathtouch and ward so blocks go badly for opponents (Spider-Ham, Peter Porker, Wall Crawl, Shelob, Child of Ungoliant) - Play-from-exile value: Combat and attack triggers exile or reveal cards to play, keeping the aggressive deck refueled. Casting from outside the hand also powers Spider-Man 2099's end-step damage (Gwenom, Remorseless, Gwen Stacy, Spider-Man 2099) - Mana fixing and creature ramp: Five-color fixing comes from land ramp and creatures that tap for mana, letting the deck deploy Spiders quickly and cast the commander on curve (Elven Chorus, Spider Manifestation, Cultivate)
