Scarlet Witch, Chaotic Avenger is a spellslinger deck that uses combat damage triggers to exile and cast expensive spells for free, fueling a storm-style engine built around casting instants and sorceries repeatedly to generate magecraft triggers, Treasure tokens, and incremental damage. A key secondary axis is the Hero subtype: high-value Hero creatures such as Hulk, Blue Marvel, Wiccan, and Hulkling are included as prime free-cast targets off Scarlet Witch's trigger, providing both immediate board impact and a protective wall of blockers that keeps life totals safe while the engine develops. These Hero creatures serve a dual role — they are both free spell targets and board protection, and their slots are intentional and protected. Equipment granting double strike and unblockability ensures Scarlet Witch connects reliably each turn, and the deck stacks cost reduction and spell copying to maximize the value of each free cast off her trigger, often landing high-mana-value spells well ahead of schedule. The deck can also assemble an infinite loop through Arcane Bombardment combined with Prismari Command and Return the Favor, generating infinite storm count, magecraft triggers, and damage as an alternate path to victory.
