Quintorius, History Chaser
Quintorius, History Chaser Commander Deck
Quintorius turns cards leaving the graveyard into 3/2 Spirit tokens, so the deck fills its own graveyard by discarding, looting and milling, then empties it again through reanimation, flashback, cast-from-graveyard effects and repeatable graveyard-exile artifacts. Each card that leaves the yard feeds a token army. Token doublers, Spirit anthems and mass pump turn that army into a lethal board, while board wipes and recursion keep the deck's own value permanents coming back. How it wins: It builds a wide board of Spirit and other tokens, then pumps them and grants evasion, double strike or extra combats for one overwhelming alpha strike, with discard-triggered life loss as extra reach. Key roles: - Discard and loot fuel: Discard outlets and loot effects, including Quintorius's own +1, stock the graveyard, and the discard-matters pieces exile or reward each discarded card, which also triggers leave-the-graveyard payoffs (Bag of Holding, Containment Construct, Monument to Endurance). - Graveyard-leave triggers: Cheap tap-to-exile artifacts and attack triggers pull cards out of graveyards every turn, repeatedly firing Quintorius and the other leave-the-graveyard token and counter makers (Agatha's Soul Cauldron, Augusta, Order Returned, On Wings of Gold). - Reanimation and recursion: Enter and attack triggers, flashback, and mass returns bring permanents back to the battlefield, making value and tokens with each return (Sun Titan, Sevinne's Reclamation, Ascend from Avernus). - Token multiplication: Doublers and token producers turn each trigger into two bodies, while Hofri Ghostforge makes Spirits bigger and hasty and returns dead creatures as Spirit copies (Elspeth, Storm Slayer, Exalted Sunborn, Hofri Ghostforge). - Wipe and rebuild: Sweepers clear the board and leave Spirit tokens behind, recursion restores the deck's own creatures, and planeswalker protection keeps Quintorius alive through the reset (Ceaseless Conflict, Luminous Broodmoth, Deification). - Combat finishers: Mass pump, flying, double strike and extra combats turn the token swarm lethal, alongside Quintorius's −4 (Moonshaker Cavalry, Karlach, Fury of Avernus, Elspeth's Talent).
