The deck sacrifices its own creatures for value through forced sacrifice effects, death-triggered card draw, and drain effects, while Grave Pact and Dictate of Erebos punish opponents every time your creatures die, and Liesa simultaneously exiles opposing creatures to deny graveyard recursion. The deck wins through incremental life drain, board control attrition, and overwhelming board presence fueled by cost-reduction for Angels and payoffs like Gray Merchant of Asphodel recycled repeatedly for large life-swing finishes.
