Yennett is a top-of-library manipulation deck. Every attack reveals the top card, and odd-mana-value spells are cast for free while anything else is drawn. So the list stacks expensive odd bombs (mostly 7s and 9s) and runs a heavy suite of scry, Brainstorm-style put-backs and library sorting to set up the reveal. Free casts from the library also feed "cast from anywhere but your hand" payoffs. The flying, menace commander is protected and given haste so it can attack every turn and turn each combat into a free haymaker or a card. How it wins: Yennett flips game-ending 7- and 9-drops like one-sided wraths, Elesh Norn, Void Winnower and extra turns for free, then overwhelming fliers and Eldrazi beat down a board that can't fight back. Approach of the Second Sun, placed seventh from the top and dug back into, offers an alternate win. Key roles: - Library stacking: These cards set up the top card before Yennett attacks, either putting an odd bomb on top or shuffling a dud away. The draw-then-put-back effects also return expensive cards from hand to the top, so they get cast for free. (Sensei's Divining Top, Brainstorm, Lim-Dûl's Vault) - Odd-cost bombs: High-impact spells with mana value 7 or 9 that would be uncastable early but come free off Yennett. They swing games with one-sided wipes, board locks, extra turns and reanimation. (Plague Wind, Void Winnower, Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite) - Approach loop: The first Approach cast tucks itself seventh from the top. The deck's heavy card draw and digging then brings it back to hand for the winning second cast, while a free first cast off Yennett still counts. (Approach of the Second Sun, Brainsurge, Windreader Sphinx) - Cascade and free-cast value: Cascade creatures and payoffs for casting from outside the hand stack extra value on top of Yennett's free casts. Enigma Sphinx also returns third from the top when it dies, ready to be revealed again. (Vega, the Watcher, Enigma Sphinx, Ethersworn Sphinx) - Repeated attacks: Equipment, tutor-to-top and combat tricks keep Yennett swinging safely and set up the next reveal. Untapping it lets it attack without risk, and attack-trigger creatures add their own value. (Lightning Greaves, Varragoth, Bloodsky Sire, Reconnaissance) - Stealing opponents' spells: A subtheme of casting and taking opponents' cards, plus pillow-fort pieces that slow their attacks while the Sphinx engine runs. (Thief of Sanity, Mind's Dilation, Ghostly Prison)
