Whiplash, Vengeful Engineer wins by attacking while loaded up with as many Equipment as possible, draining each opponent's life equal to the number of attached Equipment and gaining that much life in return. The deck focuses on stacking cheap Equipment onto Whiplash quickly, using evasion-granting pieces like flying, unblockability, and can't-be-blocked effects to ensure he connects every combat, while Quietus Spike threatens to halve a defending player's life total on top of the drain trigger. Gavel of the Righteous grows Whiplash and eventually grants double strike, effectively doubling the life drain and life gain each attack, while hand-refill engines keep the Equipment flowing to maximize the trigger's potency.
