Illuna, Apex of Wishes is a Temur mutate deck. It stacks mutate creatures onto non-Human bodies, often hexproof or evasive ones, so that every mutation fires every "whenever this creature mutates" trigger in the pile. Illuna's own trigger digs to the next nonland permanent and puts it onto the battlefield or into hand, and the pile grows into one huge flying, trampling threat. Cost reducers, cast triggers and big-creature draw engines keep the chain of creature spells going, and Temur ramp pays for the expensive mutate costs. How it wins: It builds one enormous mutated flier with trample and haste and swings it at opponents, backed by free cascading permanents and removal triggers, with big Dinosaur free-cast threats and Omniscience as extra ways to overwhelm. Key roles: - Mutate bases: Cheap or hexproof non-Human bodies make safe targets to mutate onto, so the stack is hard to answer before or after it forms (Slippery Bogle, Venomthrope, Mysterious Egg). - Mutate value triggers: Mutate creatures whose triggers rerun on every mutation draw cards, fetch lands, make tokens, and put free permanents onto the battlefield, alongside Illuna's own exile-until-permanent payoff (Auspicious Starrix, Dreamtail Heron, Trumpeting Gnarr). - Mutate interaction: Mutate triggers that destroy, bounce, steal or tap down opposing permanents, so building the threat also clears the way (Sawtusk Demolisher, Pouncing Shoreshark, Archipelagore). - Creature-cast engines: Cost reduction and draw tied to casting creature or mutate spells, plus card draw off high-power creatures entering, which keep the chain flowing (Pollywog Symbiote, Animar, Soul of Elements, The Great Henge). - Haste and protection for the pile: Haste lets a freshly mutated stack attack at once, and protective spells guard against the two-for-one removal risk of a single big creature (Temur Ascendancy, Swiftfoot Boots, Heroic Intervention). - Free-cast and copy package: Free-cast Dinosaurs, top-of-library effects and copy effects multiply the board beyond the mutate stack, with Omniscience as a free-casting finisher (Etali, Primal Conqueror, Vesuvan Duplimancy, Omniscience).
