Sauron, the Dark Lord sits at the center of a reanimator and tempo strategy, using discard outlets, self-mill, and tutors like Entomb to load the graveyard before cheating in massive threats through reanimation spells. The deck leverages Sauron's triggered ability to create Army tokens and drain opponents whenever spells are cast with the Ring having tempted you, while counter magic and interaction protect the gameplan and punish opponents for drawing cards. The primary win conditions involve overwhelming the board with reanimated powerhouses like Razaketh, the Foulblooded and Archon of Cruelty, using Razaketh to tutor into combo or lock pieces, or closing the game through Underworld Breach to repeatedly recur spells for value and damage.
