Blech, Loafing Pest builds a wide board of Pests, Insects, Spiders, Snakes, and Bats, then uses repeated life gain triggers to stack +1/+1 counters across the entire creature base, creating an ever-growing army that wins through combat. The deck generates life gain from creature deaths, token attacks, and enters-the-battlefield effects, while effects that double counters and amplify each counter placement allow the board to scale rapidly. Multiple drain effects convert that constant life gain into direct damage, so that Dina, Soul Steeper, Sanguine Bond, and similar pieces can close out games even when combat is not viable.
