Spooky Dookie Nazgûl
Lord of the Nazgûl Commander Deck
This is a spells-matter Dimir tempo deck. Its engine is Lord of the Nazgûl: every instant or sorcery it casts creates a 3/3 menace Wraith, and with nine Wraiths out, all of them become 9/9 for the turn. The list is packed with one-mana cantrips, cheap counterspells and cheap removal, so the deck can hold up interaction while turning every spell into a body, with copies of the commander and trigger doublers multiplying the army. How it wins: It builds a wide board of Wraith tokens off its stream of cheap spells, then chains enough casts in one turn to hit nine Wraiths and swing with 9/9 menace attackers, while counters and bounce clear the way. Key roles: - Cheap spell fuel: One-mana cantrips and card selection keep instant and sorcery casts flowing cheaply, each one a Wraith trigger that also digs for more spells. (Brainstorm, Ponder, Gitaxian Probe) - Interaction as token makers: Counterspells and instant-speed removal protect the plan and make Wraiths on opponents' turns, while also triggering card draw from casting off-turn and from casting instants and sorceries. (Counterspell, Flusterstorm, Wavebreak Hippocamp) - Commander multiplication: Clones and legend-rule breakers copy Lord of the Nazgûl, and a trigger doubler naming Wraith makes each spell create extra tokens and reach the nine-Wraith threshold far faster. (Sakashima of a Thousand Faces, Spark Double, Roaming Throne) - Wraith growth and counters: Ring-tempting Wraiths pump every Wraith with +1/+1 counters, and a counter vault preserves those counters when creatures die. Lands and changeling tokens add extra Wraith count. (Nazgûl, The Ozolith, Minas Morgul, Dark Fortress) - Mass-copy finisher: Turning every creature into a copy of the commander, or recasting it through Avoidance, creates huge trigger counts and an instant army for the 9/9 swing. (Nanogene Conversion, Displacer Kitten, Unstoppable Plan) - Cost reduction and card flow: Spell cost reducers and spell-based draw engines let the deck chain many cheap casts in a single turn and refill its hand. (Glamdring, Foe-hammer, Archmage Emeritus, Rhystic Study)
