Ingris Stingerquill
Ingris Stingerquill Commander Deck
Ingris Stingerquill turns every infect creature's attack into a guaranteed poison counter for each opponent, because the attacking creature itself deals the 1 damage, so infect applies even if the attack is blocked or never connects. The deck floods the board with cheap infect bodies and gives them haste. It then multiplies attack triggers with extra combat phases and untap effects, and stacks poison further through proliferate, direct poison spells and pump that boosts infect damage. Recursion keeps the infect army coming back after wraths and trades. How it wins: Each opponent is pushed to ten poison counters through repeated Ingris attack triggers, extra combats, infect combat damage and proliferate. Key roles: - Infect attackers: Cheap creatures with infect turn each of their attacks into an unblockable poison counter on every opponent through Ingris Stingerquill. Combat damage that gets through adds more, and a lord grows the team and adds poison as more infect creatures are cast. (Hand of the Praetors, Plague Stinger) - Extra combats and haste: Additional combat phases and untap effects make each creature attack several times per turn, so it triggers Ingris repeatedly. Haste sources, including Ingris's own token ability, let freshly cast creatures attack immediately. (Full Throttle, Combat Celebrant, Samut, Hazoret's Champion) - Proliferate and direct poison: Proliferate on spells, death triggers, artifacts, a land and a planeswalker adds poison to every poisoned opponent at once. Spells that hand out poison directly start or finish the clock. (Vraska, Betrayal's Sting, Karn's Bastion, Phyresis Outbreak) - Damage amplifiers: Effects that add damage to noncombat sources make each Ingris attack trigger deal 2 or more. On infect attackers, that extra damage becomes extra poison counters. (Hawkeye, Young Avenger, Tomik, Izzet Sparkmage) - Sticky threats and recursion: Effects that return dying attackers, grant undying, or reanimate infect creatures keep the army rebuilding. Some of these also trigger death-based proliferate or card draw. (Ares, God of War, Alesha, Who Laughs at Fate, Phyrexian Reclamation) - Combat-damage value: Some creatures draw cards or strip opponents' hands whenever damage reaches a player. Ingris's per-opponent trigger fires these several times per attack. (Gix, Yawgmoth Praetor, Hypnotic Specter, Whispering Specter)
