K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth turns life into a resource, allowing the deck to convert black mana symbols into life payments and accelerate through virtually its entire hand at the cost of health rather than mana. The deck sustains this life expenditure through lifelink, life-draining death triggers, and drain effects from creatures entering and dying, while snowballing card draw and mana through black devotion and life-to-card engines. The primary win conditions are infinite loops combining Exquisite Blood with Sanguine Bond or Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose to lock opponents in a cycle of infinite life loss, or leveraging Aetherflux Reservoir to repeatedly deal 50 damage once enough spells have been cast in a single turn.
