The deck is a Rakdos midrange pile built on Deadpool's text-box swap. As he enters he can trade abilities with another creature, so his 5/3 body picks up a strong creature's text, while that creature is left with his upkeep life loss and a sacrifice outlet that only feeds opponents' hands. Around this sit a copy-and-clone package that multiplies the best creatures, a token-and-sacrifice aristocrats engine, heavy removal and board wipes, and a spellslinger red core that turns instants and sorceries into damage, mana and card advantage. How it wins: Go-wide with token and copy boards, cash in through death and sacrifice drain triggers, ping and burn opponents with spell-cast and noncombat-damage payoffs, and finish with extra combats or big bodies once wipes and spot removal have cleared the way. Key roles: - Text-box theft: Deadpool, Trading Card copies the best ability on the table, his own or an opponent's, onto a cheap-to-cast 5/3. The victim keeps his upkeep drain, and cards that reanimate creatures re-buy the effect (Deadpool, Trading Card, Black Sun's Twilight, Funeral Room). - Copy multiplication: A clone package makes token copies of the strongest creature each turn and lets duplicates of legendary creatures coexist. Deadpool carrying a stolen text box, or a key legend, can be stacked into several copies (Helm of the Host, The Master, Multiplied, Mirror Box). - Token generation: Recurring and burst token makers supply sacrifice fodder and wide attackers, and tokens gain deathtouch for defense (Krenko, Tin Street Kingpin, Bitterblossom, Gothmog, Morgul Lieutenant). - Sacrifice and death drain: Sacrifice outlets turn creatures and artifacts into cards and Treasure. Every token made or sacrificed, and every creature that dies, drains opponents, and a doubler makes those death triggers fire twice (Mirkwood Bats, Funeral Room, Drivnod, Carnage Dominus). - Spellslinger burn: Cheap instants, sorceries and looting spells fuel creatures that ping opponents, grow and make mana on cast. Noncombat damage then turns into exiled cards to play, chaining further spells (Erebor Flamesmith, Molten-Core Maestro, Virtue of Courage). - Removal and wipes: A deep suite of spot removal, edicts and symmetrical sweepers controls the board. The deck wipes freely because tokens and recursion rebuild faster, and some sweepers drain or mass-reanimate afterward (Deadly Tempest, Blasphemous Act, One Ring to Rule Them All). - Treasure ramp and combat finish: Treasure from draw spells and sacrifice effects ramps into extra combats and big threats that close games (Aggravated Assault, Deadly Dispute, Big Score).
