Varina, Lich Queen leads a Zombie tribal deck that floods the board with Zombie bodies and tokens, then swings wide so her attack trigger loots one card per attacking Zombie and gains that much life. The discards and dead Zombies fuel a graveyard loop. Varina's own ability exiles cards to make tapped Zombie tokens, and mass reanimation brings the whole tribe back. Lords and drain triggers turn every Zombie entering, attacking or dying into damage and cards. How it wins: It goes wide with buffed, evasive Zombies and finishes opponents through combat plus a steady stream of life-drain triggers from Zombies entering and dying. Key roles: - Zombie token generation: These cards keep producing extra Zombie bodies to attack with, feed the drains and refill the board after wipes, including copies of each nontoken Zombie that enters (Grave Titan, Diregraf Colossus, Necroduality) - Anthems and evasion: Lords pump the tribe and hand out menace, flying, swampwalk or deathtouch so the wide attacks actually connect and Varina's trigger stays large (Undead Warchief, Gleaming Overseer, On Wings of Gold) - Graveyard recursion: Varina's looting stocks the graveyard with Zombies, which mass and targeted reanimation return to the battlefield. Exiling cards from the graveyard also creates tokens and pings opponents (Patriarch's Bidding, Knowby's Incantation, Undead Hand Ninja) - Aristocrats drain: Zombies entering or dying drain each opponent, and sacrifice outlets convert spare bodies into cards and life loss (Wayward Servant, Diregraf Captain, Plague Belcher) - Tribal card advantage: Draw scales with Zombie count, from deaths or from attacking, so the deck refuels alongside Varina's looting, and the life gained offsets the life-loss draw costs (Graveborn Muse, Undead Augur, Prophet of the Scarab) - Control backup: Counters, spot removal and a sweeper protect the board plan and reset hostile boards, which the recursion package can recover from (Counterspell, Swords to Plowshares, Supreme Verdict)
