The Ur-Sphinx Commander Deck
The Ur-Sphinx leads a Sphinx tribal deck that leverages extensive cost reduction across multiple permanents to flood the battlefield with powerful flying creatures ahead of schedule, with Sphinx's Approach serving as a key engine to tutor and cheat Sphinxes directly onto the battlefield. The deck then swings wide to trigger the commander's attack ability, which mills all players and lets you cast the milled cards for free, while countermagic, targeted removal, and board wipes that spare Sphinxes protect the gameplan. Value engines built into individual Sphinxes — free casting, extra turns, life total manipulation via Magister Sphinx, and graveyard recursion — compound over time until the flying army overwhelms opponents.
