Araumi of the Dead Tide Commander Deck

by fading_masticore100 cards

Araumi of the Dead Tide runs a graveyard value engine. Surveil and self-mill fill the yard with creatures that have strong enter-the-battlefield effects. Araumi then grants them encore, making one hasty token copy per opponent, each attacking a different opponent, so every ETB trigger fires once per opponent. Araumi's activation also exiles cards from the graveyard equal to the number of opponents, so the yard has to stay stocked with both fodder and targets. Edicts, removal, discard, drain and card draw creatures all scale with encore, backed by reanimation, a surveil payoff package and a light counterspell suite. How it wins: Encored drain creatures like Gray Merchant of Asphodel and Archon of Cruelty, plus pings from surveil payoffs, chip through every opponent at once while repeated edicts and removal grind their boards and hands down. Key roles: - Graveyard filling: Self-mill and surveil load the graveyard with creature targets and the exile fodder Araumi's activation needs, while smoothing draws (Stitcher's Supplier, Corpse Churn, Notion Rain) - Encore ETB payloads: Creatures whose enter triggers multiply across opponents when Araumi gives them encore, turning single effects into table-wide edicts, kills, drains and card draw (Archon of Cruelty, Gray Merchant of Asphodel, Fleshbag Marauder) - Evoke and self-binning value: Creatures that get cast cheaply for their trigger, then land in the graveyard as encore targets for a second, multiplied payoff (Shriekmaw, Mulldrifter, Ravenous Chupacabra) - Surveil payoffs: Permanents that grow, drain or rebuy themselves every time the deck surveils, giving the filtering engine incidental pressure (Whispering Snitch, Dimir Spybug, Disinformation Campaign) - Reanimation and death loops: Direct reanimation and dies-and-return effects reuse the same ETB creatures outside Araumi's sorcery-speed window (Reanimate, Victimize, Driver of the Dead) - Crime-triggered value: Targeted removal and discard count as crimes, fueling once-per-turn surveil, mill and bounce-rebuy engines (Marauding Sphinx, Deepmuck Desperado, Intimidation Campaign)
