The deck revolves around Sephiroth, Fabled SOLDIER, repeatedly sacrificing cheap recursive creatures like zombies and skeletons to drain opponents of life while drawing cards, then transforming him into Sephiroth, One-Winged Angel to lock in a permanent emblem that amplifies every future death trigger. The engine relies on self-recurring threats and free sacrifice outlets to generate a constant stream of deaths, with Bolas's Citadel and Necropotence providing massive card advantage to keep the pressure relentless. The deck closes games through accumulated life drain from countless death triggers, or by leveraging the swarm of expendable creatures and black mana acceleration to resolve Torment of Hailfire for a devastating finishing blow.
