Other donations are poison, cards that punish whoever holds them. Control-exchange spells swap those liabilities for opponents' best threats, while pillowfort enchantments and counterspells keep Zedruu's controller safe as the table grows richer. How it wins: The deck builds an overwhelming card and resource lead from Zedruu and opponents' extra draws, then wins through Psychosis Crawler drain, a double cast of Approach of the Second Sun, or Transcendence handed to opponents via Zedruu or copied to them with Fractured Identity. Key roles: - Donation engine: Zedruu and other enablers repeatedly give permanents away, raising the count that sets Zedruu's upkeep draw and life gain, and some reward each handoff with cards or Treasure (Bazaar Trader, Iroh, Tea Master, Zidane, Tantalus Thief). - Self-passing gifts: Creatures and artifacts that hand themselves to opponents, draw cards, make mana or bounce around the table, padding Zedruu's count without spending mana on Zedruu (Humble Defector, Yes Man, Personal Securitron, Bucknard's Everfull Purse). - Group hug with a tax: Symmetrical draw effects keep the table friendly, while enchantments turn opponents' extra draws and spells into Treasure and cards, and Psychosis Crawler converts the deck's own heavy drawing into life loss (Howling Mine, Smothering Tithe, Psychosis Crawler). - Poisoned gifts: Drawback permanents become curses once donated, such as an artifact that eats its controller's artifacts or costs them 4 life, an enchantment that loses its controller 20 life, or a lock on casting creatures (Rust Elemental, Illusions of Grandeur, Steel Golem). - Exchange tricks: Swap effects trade donated junk or drawbacks for opponents' best permanents, stealing value while keeping Zedruu's owned-permanent count high (Gilded Drake, Puca's Mischief, Role Reversal). - Pillowfort and alternate wins: Attack taxes, damage prevention and life-total manipulation keep the player alive, and the same pieces set up the alternate win conditions (Propaganda, Transcendence, Approach of the Second Sun).
