Celestial Kirin
Celestial Kirin Commander Deck
Celestial Kirin turns every Spirit or Arcane spell into a targeted board wipe: casting one destroys all permanents with that spell's mana value. The deck is almost entirely Spirits and Arcane instants, spread across mana values, so the pilot picks which slice of the board to erase. Cheap X spells and changelings tune the mana value. Indestructible effects, regeneration and flicker keep its own key pieces alive through its own wipes. Recursion and token makers rebuild faster than opponents can, and evasive Spirits finish games in the air. How it wins: It repeatedly wipes chosen mana values to strip opponents' boards while keeping its own threats safe, then closes with flying Spirit tokens and big fliers, backed by attack taxes and lockdown pieces. Key roles: - Kirin trigger tuning: These are Spirit and Arcane spells with flexible or unusual mana values, so a Celestial Kirin wipe can hit exactly the mana value that hurts opponents most. Cheap Arcane instants double as instant-speed triggers. (Ugin's Conjurant, Omarthis, Ghostfire Initiate, Shining Shoal) - Surviving its own wipes: These cards make its own creatures indestructible, regenerate them or blink them out, so they dodge the destruction Celestial Kirin causes. Some do it on every Spirit cast. (Horizon Seed, Hikari, Twilight Guardian, Kindred Boon) - Re-casting Spirits for more triggers: Bounce and recursion return Spirits to hand so they can be cast again, giving more Kirin wipes and refilling after destruction. (Nikko-Onna, Angel of Flight Alabaster, Sigil of the New Dawn) - Spirit cast payoffs and token rebuilding: Every Spirit or Arcane cast, and every creature that dies, produces flying Spirit tokens, so the board refills right after a wipe. (Oyobi, Who Split the Heavens, Field of Souls, Spirit Bonds) - Prison and defense: Lockdown and protective Spirits blunt opponents' attacks and spellcasting while the wipes grind the table down, and Yosei's death trigger locks a player out of a turn. (Windborn Muse, Eidolon of Rhetoric, Yosei, the Morning Star) - Splice and Arcane support: Splice cards stack extra effects such as tokens, protection and life onto each Arcane spell, and cost reduction makes the Arcane plan cheaper. (Spiritual Visit, Blessed Breath, Long-Forgotten Gohei)
