Shiko is a Bracket 4 blink value engine. Each time Shiko enters, it exiles a cheap nonland card from the graveyard and casts a free copy, which sets up a recursion loop. A dense suite of flicker spells, plus repeatable blinkers, re-triggers Shiko over and over. Loot and wheel effects stock the graveyard with mana value 3 or less targets. Those targets are often the blink spells themselves, as well as removal, interaction and tutoring creatures, all backed by free counterspells and stax-style protection. How it wins: The deck grinds opponents out with chained Shiko recasts of blinks, draw and removal, and closes through infinite blink-and-recast loops or Thassa's Oracle tutored up by creature searchers, while Molten Gatekeeper pings, a Delayed Blast Fireball recast or plain flying beats can also finish games. Key roles: - Flicker chains: Instant and sorcery blinks re-trigger Shiko's enter ability. Shiko can then recast a used blink from the graveyard, which flickers Shiko again and loops through the yard. One double flicker can reset Shiko and another value creature at once. (Ephemerate, Ghostly Flicker, Cloudshift) - Repeatable blink engines: Creatures that exile and return Shiko whenever noncreature spells are cast or each end step. These turn every cheap spell into another Shiko trigger and can go infinite with free or cheap spells. (Displacer Kitten, Kykar, Zephyr Awakener, Soulherder) - Graveyard stocking: Looting, connive-style draw and wheels fill the graveyard with mana value 3 or less targets, while graveyard recursion and escape-style effects add further reuse of key pieces. (Frantic Search, Faithless Looting, Underworld Breach) - Payoffs from leaving and casting from the yard: Cards that draw whenever Shiko flickers or when spells are cast from outside the hand, turning each loop into card advantage. (Candlekeep Sage, Vega, the Watcher, Dour Port-Mage) - Tutor-creature package: Enter-the-battlefield searchers find combo pieces and stay recastable through Shiko's graveyard copies or blinks. The package fetches the Oracle win, repeatable blinkers or key instants. (Spellseeker, Imperial Recruiter, Recruiter of the Guard) - Free interaction and stax: Commander-enabled free spells, cheap counters and lock pieces protect the loops and punish opposing spells, while flicker re-buys enter-the-battlefield removal. (Fierce Guardianship, Grand Abolisher, Rhystic Study)
