Kibo hands every player Banana artifacts, then punishes opponents for holding artifacts: each opponent artifact that hits the graveyard puts a +1/+1 counter on every Ape and Monkey the deck controls. The tribal Ape/Monkey creature base is backed by a heavy suite of artifact destruction, plus Kibo's own attack trigger forcing sacrifices, and counter doublers multiply each trigger. Liquimetal effects turn any opposing permanent into an artifact so the removal and Kibo's payoffs reach beyond real artifacts. How it wins: A wide board of Apes and Monkeys grows huge from repeated artifact destruction and counter doubling, then tramples or pushes through in combat to deal lethal damage. Key roles: - Banana feeding and artifact punishment: Kibo seeds opponents with artifacts and his attack forces sacrifices, while creatures and spells that destroy artifacts turn each loss into counters, cards or life (Gearbane Orangutan, Uktabi Orangutan, Viridian Revel). - Mass artifact wipes: one-sided or broad artifact sweepers trigger Kibo's counter ability many times at once, and some also refund value (Anzrag's Rampage, Meltdown, Fangren Marauder). - Artifact conversion: making an opponent's creature or key permanent an artifact lets artifact removal kill it and still triggers Kibo's counters (Liquimetal Coating, Liquimetal Torque). - Counter amplification: doublers and plus-one effects multiply every counter placed across the tribal board, and counter-based draw and haste reward modified creatures (Hardened Scales, Ozolith, the Shattered Spire, Primal Vigor). - Ape and Monkey army: a tribal creature base, including a changeling, gives Kibo's triggers many recipients and brings large bodies to the fight (Kogla, the Titan Ape, Taurean Mauler, Monkey Cage). - Closing combat: trample, evasion and pump turn the grown board into lethal damage (Garruk's Uprising, Flopsie, Bumi's Buddy, Return of the Wildspeaker).
