Pia, Aether Ascetic leads a mono-green enchantress stax deck. Pia's enter trigger lets the deck discard a card to tutor any enchantment, so she works as a toolbox piece that fetches whichever lock piece, draw engine or mana doubler the game calls for. Enchantress triggers keep the hand full while symmetrical stax enchantments slow opponents' lands and artifacts, and green's natural ramp plus mana-doubling permanents carry the deck from lockdown to an enormous mana pool. How it wins: It builds up huge amounts of mana through doublers and multipliers, or through an infinite-mana loop built on an artifact that exiles creatures for mana, then casts a massive X-damage spell that hits every player at once and finishes the table. Key roles: - Enchantment tutoring toolbox: Pia's discard-to-search trigger, along with other ways to find enchantments, pulls the right lock piece, engine or win piece at the right moment, and flicker or recast effects can reuse her trigger. - Enchantress draw engine: Enchantments that draw a card whenever another enchantment is cast or enters keep card flow high, refilling the hand to pay for Pia's discard and to deploy stax pieces without running out of gas. - Stax and choke lock: Enchantments that make opponents' lands stay tapped or force their lands and artifacts to enter tapped, plus color-hosing pieces that punish Islands and blue decks, slow the table while the deck's green ramp keeps it ahead. - Mana doubling and ramp: Land ramp and permanents that double or add extra mana from lands push the deck's mana far past what the opponents can manage under the lock, setting up the big finisher. - Infinite mana combo: An artifact that exiles creatures for mana, paired with a creature that can be recast from exile or a mana outlet, produces unbounded mana. It doubles as a second route straight into the finisher. - X-damage finisher: A spell that deals X damage to each player and each flier converts the huge or infinite mana into lethal damage across the whole table at once.
